Position Overview:
Execute regional strategic and secure short-term & long-term capacity through active sourcing and validation of vendors’ performance and capability
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Handle onboarding & supplier exiting activities; evaluate suppliers’ performance & drive continuous development of the vendor base
* Develop and manage a pipeline of potential new vendors and keep them ready for times of need
* Maintain Long Range Plan for India. For Super Season Plan – do bottleneck analysis & seasonal comparison analysis in value and volume.
* Closely review the capacity plan & production schedule with the merchandising team in optimise capacity and utilize available vendors
* Continue & Sustain SES for the region
* O9 Follow up and communication with vendors – Arrange trainings.
* Capacity alignment with Sourcing for placed to projection Qty.
* VMS Follow up and Data Enrichments T1, T2/T3.
* Work closely with the merchandising team to layout the short-term & long-term capacity growth plans for all brands & products, and to secure an effective sourcing flow
* Identify and mitigate risks and propose solutions/alternative; alert management on high-risk areas, which may impact on production and future business
* Develop plans and action items to secure required capacity by travelling across the region to evaluate existing the capability of vendors
* Be responsible for maintaining, standardizing and managing the process and vendor database
* Manage the key stakeholders across different teams and counterparts to drive changes and results
* Collaborate with multiple stakeholders by analyzing capacity and on-time delivery data monthly
* Stay close to market information, conduct research regularly and share with the teams on the market conditions
Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
* Must have experience of 8-10 years in apparel supply chain, sourcing and with capacity planning is a must; at least 10+ years relevant managerial experience
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to build effective relationship and influence key partners with all levels
* Experience and proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Power Point, Excel (analysis & Pivot )and Visio, and/or other relevant analytical tools
* Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
* Good project management skills and ability to drive changes and improvements
* Analytical thinker and data literacy; meticulous and with strong follow up skills, able to work under tight timeline
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, assertive and organized
* Demonstrates a “can-do” approach in being proactive with work assignments
* Good command of written and spoken English
* Willing to travel
* Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline
